Ice Cream Social 2026

What a beautiful day on Sunday, July 5, 2026, a perfect day for an Ice Cream Social and to celebrate our 200th year.  Temps in the high 70s low 80s, there was a steady flow of people enjoying ice cream, hotdogs, root beer floats, purchasing merchandise, listening to the music of the Hired Hands, assisting with churning ice cream and lots of conversations.

Picnic tables were purchased for this event and were a big hit.  People seemed to stay around longer, listening to the band, Hired Hands, and wonderful conversations were had.

8th graders from the South Bristol School set up with their row boat selling tickets.

After counting cars at 1pm, and with the steady flow of people throughout the day, it is estimated between 650-700 people were in attendance, 2025 attendance was estimated at 600-650.

Selectmen, Robert Clifford and Adam Rice, made a surprise presentation to the Ice House, a Spirit of America award given to individuals and organizations that show true volunteerism and a commitment to the spirit of America.  Ken graciously accepted the award on behalf of the entire Board of Directors, past and present.  The award will be displayed in the Annex for all to see.

We can say we had another successful Ice Cream Social.
